After running back Jordan Mason did most of the heavy lifting, the Niners moved quickly into Rams territory to set up a first-and-10 at the Los Angeles 13. Quarterback Brock Purdy faked a toss to running back Isaac Guerendo, rolled to his right, scanned the field and found a wide-open Jauan Jennings in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown. With both Deebo Samuel Sr. and George Kittle out with injuries, Jennings is one of Purdy’s top targets.
Kicker Jake Moody booted the extra point to make it 7-0 with 11:12 left in the opening quarter.
Jennings added another touchdown nearly 10 minutes later when Purdy evaded the pass rush, rolled to his right and found him in the back of the end zone for a 4-yard score. The extra point made it 14-0 49ers with 1:47 left in the first quarter.

It’s the second career multi-touchdown catch game for Jennings with both coming against the Rams. He also had two touchdown grabs in a a Week 18 win in Los Angeles in 2022.
Jennings completed his first-career touchdown hat trick midway through the third quarter when Purdy found him on third-and-5 from the Los Angeles 31. Under pressure, Purdy stepped up in the pocket and hit Jennings in stride for the 31-yard score to put the 49ers up by two touchdowns.

Jennings has setting career highs in yards and touchdowns in a game and tying his best in receptions. It’s also his first 100-yard game.
