Boston Celtics win record-setting 18th NBA title with 106-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks

The Boston Celtics have won their 18th NBA title with a 106-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday at TD Garden in Boston.

The Celtics have now become the franchise with the most titles in NBA history, breaking the tie with their bitter rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.

This title marks the Celtics’ first since 2008 and was earned by a dominant Boston squad that cruised through the regular season with the best record in the NBA.

Led by the dynamic scoring duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics were nearly unstoppable during their playoff run, never trailing in a series while winning 15 of their first 17 games.
