Caitlin Clark wins WNBA Rookie of the Year honors

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was selected as WNBA Rookie of the Year after she broke the league’s single-season assist mark and scored the most points ever for a rookie.

Clark came into the league with quite possibly more hype than any rookie ever, and she delivered, leading the Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. She broke the WNBA single-season record with 337 assists, including a record 19 in one game. She broke the single-season rookie scoring mark by averaging 19.2 points per game.

She finished fourth in MVP voting.

Off the court, Clark helped lift the WNBA to record ratings and attendance. The Fever set a single-season home attendance record of 340,715 fans, and Clark and Indiana played three games in front of crowds of more than 20,000.
