Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the visiting Orlando Magic due to an injury to his left pinkie finger.
Young, 25, averages a team-best 26.4 points and 10.8 assists in 51 games (all starts) this season. He was limited to 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the floor in Atlanta’s 123-121 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
A three-time All-Star, Young is contributing 25.6 points and 9.5 assists in 404 career games (all starts) since being selected with the fifth overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft.
Forward Onyeka Okongwu, who averages 10.2 points and 7.0 rebounds, also was ruled out for the Hawks due to a toe injury. Okongwu was injured before the All-Star break and was expected to miss a week to 10 days, but coach Quin Snyder said Thursday that Okongwu “is not going to be available for the foreseeable future.”
For Orlando, guard Gary Harris has been ruled out due to right calf injury maintenance.
Harris, 29, is averaging 7.0 points and 1.7 assists in 35 games (eight starts) this season.
