Jalen Brunson suffers fractured hand in Knicks’ Game 7 vs. Pacers

Star New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson suffered a fractured hand during Game 7 of the team’s second-round series against the Indiana Pacers, the Knicks announced.

Brunson already appeared to be battling a leg injury during the game. He went 6-for-17 from the field with 19 points and nine assists in 29 minutes.

Cameras caught Brunson’s father and Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson with his head in his hands on the bench as the team announced Brunson’s injury with just under 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The Knicks were trailing the Pacers by 16 points at the time.

Brunson was the Knicks’ best player in a breakout 2023-24 season in which he averaged a career-high 28.7 points and 6.7 assists per game.
