HOUSTON — After falling behind 10-0 early to the Texans, Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff used play action to hit tight end Sam LaPorta for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Goff connected with LaPorta for a deep right pass, outside the pocket, at 10:52 in the second quarter.
The score marked Goff’s 200th career passing touchdown and his sixth passing touchdown of the season on play action, tying Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold for most in the NFL, per ESPN Research.
