Juan Soto’s home run sends Yankees to World Series, beating Guardians in ALCS

The New York Yankees are heading back to the World Series for the first time in 15 years.

New York took down the Cleveland Guardians, 5-2, in Game 5 of the ALCS to win the series, 4-1. Juan Soto’s home run in the 10th inning was the difference, with the star slugger hitting a three-run shot to give the Yankees the lead. Luke Weaver pitched his second scoreless inning of relief to give the Yankees the victory and the American League pennant.

The Yankees will take on the winner of the NLCS in the World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold a 3-2 series lead over the New York Mets ahead of Sunday’s Game 6.

This is a developing story.
