Oklahoma sweeps Texas for fourth straight WCWS title

Junior Cydney Sanders hit a 3-run go-ahead double in the bottom of the fourth to propel No. 2 Oklahoma to its fourth-straight Women’s College World Series title with an 8-4 win over No. 1 Texas on Thursday night.

The Sooners used five different pitchers — the most in a Championship Finals game in WCWS history – to sweep the Longhorns 2-0.

Oklahoma won its eighth national title, matching Arizona for the second-most by any program all time. The only team with more titles is UCLA with 12.
