Pete Rose, who compiled an MLB-record 4,256 hits over a 24-year career spent with the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies and Montreal Expos, has died at the age of 83.
Multiple media outlets reported the news on Monday, and “a source close to Rose’s family” confirmed the news to sports Illustrated.
