INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Running back Kyren Williams scored the Los Angeles Rams’ first touchdown of the game in spectacular fashion, catching a pass and flipping into the end zone. On 2nd-and-9 from the San Francisco 15, Williams caught the touchdown pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford.

It was Williams’ third consecutive game with a touchdown, although his first through the air. The score was Williams’ first catch of the game. He also had 49 rushing yards on 12 attempts. Kicker Joshua Karty, who was on the injury report with a groin injury this week, kicked the extra point to cut the 49ers lead to 14-7 with 1:11 remaining in the first half.
Williams is the third different Rams player to score a scrimmage TD in each of the team’s first three games of a season over the last 20 years (Cooper Kupp 2022, 2021 & Todd Gurley 2018 & 2017).
Williams scored his second touchdown of the game late in the third quarter, a three-yard run on first and goal.
Kyren Williams scores again to make it a one-score game in Inglewood.

This is Williams’ second career game with a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. The other game came against the 49ers in Week 2 last season.
