United States women’s national soccer team wins gold at Paris Olympics with 1-0 victory over Brazil
The United States women’s national soccer team defeated Brazil 1-0 on Saturday to be named the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalists.
U.S. forward Mallory Swanson found the back of the net in the 57th minute to give the Americans an advantage, and the Brazilian squad could not respond.
The USWNT swept their group-stage matchup and dominated throughout the knockout round in coach Emma Hayes’ U.S. coaching debut.
