The Chicago White Sox have fired manager Pedro Grifol.

The White Sox announced the firing Thursday, two days after snapping their 21-game losing streak, which tied a record for the longest in American League history.

The White Sox have the worst record in the majors this season at 28-89 and are 89-190 under Grifol, who was hired in November 2022.
